Madison's 12th Birthday

We celebrated Madison's 12Th birthday over the weekend. I know it was a few days early (her real birthday is on St. Patrick's Day) because Mckenzie couldn't be here during the week. She wanted to invite her best friend Callie, & go bowling and eat Japanese food. So that's what we did.

Duck Beach, North Carolina

After 18 years in North Carolina, we decided it was time to go to the Outer Banks. Everyone says it is something to see. Now I believe them! We went to Duck Beach where Madison had the best time hunting for shells. It is different from California beaches. It took us about 3 hours to get there, but well worth the drive. Madison studied the North Carolina Light Houses last year in school, so it was fun for her to see them in person. The Wright Brother's museum was pretty neat as well. "First in Flight" is the quote on all NC license plates. The story of these two brother's who were driven to fly is amazing! Great trip!

Toby's "Early" Birthday

Brian has a chance to visit Palm Springs in early March. He thought while he was there, he would celebrate Toby's birthday a little early. We got him a "Cozy Coupe." I think Toby loved it! He couldn't leave Hallie out, so she talked Papa into 2 barbies. I don't think it was a hard sell for her. Enjoy the cute pictures!

Raffaldini Winery February 2009

We decided to go for a drive on a beautiful North Carolina Saturday afternoon. Ths winery is located along the Carolina Wine Trail near Hamptonville, North Carolina. Fun day!

Mckenzie got married! Here are a few pictures from the day

Here's Bishop Daniels signing the marriage certificate. As the bishop asks for the couple to place the rings on each other's fingers, Mckenzie says, "Umm... can someone run out to my car? I forgot the ring!" CLASSIC!

The end of a long day...

Everyone in attendance!

Now, it's time for some serious business!!!
